Strikes Are a Last Resort

The Guardian’s Ellie Mae O’Hagan explains how the public value of unions goes unrecognized while labor is demonized in the media. As she says, “a union sees a strike, not as an opportunity to flex its muscles, but as a failure of negotiation”. I think that’s an important reminder today.
